August and Leif playing at the beach (last week when we had decent weather - we've had four days with snow since Saturday!)

Mine mine mine!
Leif recently discovered the word "mine", and August thinks it's hilarious.
(Bajs is the Swedish word for poop.)

Boys on a pink couch
I love all the color here! And this is one of the few times I've captured August's gorgeous smile. The boys play together more and more these days and it's such a joy to watch them getting along and helping each other.

Working out with Baba
August joined James for part of his workout yesterday. I think it's adorable. And I love Leif's cameo, in which he attempts to breakdance on his face:

Walking in the woods on a Wednesday
As of last week, I'm keeping the boys home from dagis on Wednesdays so that we can go on adventures together. Last week we went to a giant indoor playground, which they both loved. This week we stayed closer to home. In the morning we took a walk around the neighborhood, and then we spent all afternoon at a local park and playground. It was a lovely day and the boys got along when we were out of the house (but certainly not when we were in it!).
We're always talking about how wonderful it is to live on the sea, but we also love that we're nestled into a small forest. These are from our morning walk around our neighborhood.
The playground we went to in the afternoon is tucked at the end of a peninsula near us. Leif found some ducks to talk to.

Leif the chef
Some days, when Leif sees the neighbors come home, he immediately runs onto the balcony to knock on their door. And some days, he helps them cook dinner.

Two digger playground
We've discovered that both boys - especially August - are a lot happier when we're able to split up and spend one-on-one time with them. The past few Saturdays, August and I have been going to a mini-bioklubben (film club) at the local library, where we watch a short movie in Swedish. If we're lucky, we also get some run-around time at a local park. We've rediscovered a small playground fairly close to us, and August LOVES it. It's funny, because this playground has the least actual equipment of all the playgrounds we go to; but it's situated in a big clearing in the woods, and we spend lots of time exploring and running around. We are loving the warmer weather and longer days -- we're all so much happier than we were over the winter.
