Today was our first big adventure outside of the neighborhoods where we live and work. We walked to the heart of the old town, called Gamla Stan. We took the subway (Tunnelbana) there - Augie's first trip on public transport. He seemed largely unimpressed. In Gamla Stan we surprised a violin maker working in his studio by holding Augie up to the window so that just his head appeared above the sill to the man; he gave us a big smile before turning back to his work. We'll see who else around the city we can surprise with a floating baby appearing from nowhere...
